Cadet Major Colin Lewis

Cadet Major Colin Lewis, a senior at Fall Mountain Regional High School in Charlestown, NH, was awarded the 2025 Captain Ryan Phaneuf Memorial Fund Aviation Scholarship. Through his academic and JROTC career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, community engagement and personal growth. Colin exemplifies the values of service, leadership and integrity and served as the Executive Officer for the Army JROTC program with the Wildcat Battalion.  He has received numerous awards, including the JROTC Academic Excellence Award and the Daedalian Achievement Award.  In addition to his leadership roles in JROTC, Colin was the captain of the school's Academic Team and Cyber Team, and the assistant captain of the Drill Team. He also led the school's new Drone Training Program, helping twenty students become proficient in drone operation.  Colin is an alumnus of the Four Star Leadership program with General Tommy Franks, a program that only accepts 70 of the top high school students in the US.  Colin's commitment to service extends to his community, where he actively participated in highway clean-ups, blood drives, and supported local food banks through JROTC. Driven by a love for aviation, Colin worked two part-time jobs to pursue flight lessons and has recently completed his solo flight with Monadnock Aviation.  He will continue his pursuit of becoming a pilot with the United States Air Force as he was accepted into the aviation program at the University of Oklahoma and will major in Fixed Wing Aviation.

Cadet Colonel Noah Jackson

Cadet Colonel Noah Jackson, a senior at Spaulding High School in Rochester, NH, is the recipient of the 2025 Captain Ryan S. Phaneuf Memorial Fund Academic Scholarship. Noah is an accomplished student with a weighted GPA of 4.2 and was a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and Kitty Hawk Honor Society.   As an exceptional leader, Noah held the highest rank in his school's Air Force JROTC program as the Group Commander, responsible for over 100 cadets. He is a decorated cadet, having received awards such as the Tuskegee Airmen award in 2022, the Military Order of the World Wars award in 2023, and the Daedalian award in 2024. A dedicated athlete, he served as captain of the wrestling team for two years and was a three-time Division II state finalist and state champion. He was also named the Outstanding Wrestler for the Rochester School District. Beyond his academic and athletic pursuits, Noah is committed to community service.  He coached a local middle school wrestling team, local baseball team and was a leader in community clean-up initiatives Noah's passion for aviation is evident in his accomplishments. He holds a Part 107 commercial drone license and was selected to attend the highly competitive AFJROTC Flight Academy at Purdue University. There, he earned his private pilot certificate in less than eight weeks. He will be attending Kent State University in the fall of 2025 to major in Professional Flight and will be a member of the Air Force ROTC program with the goal of becoming a military aviator.
